Beautiful nature of the Niagara Falls!
Niagara Falls are gorgeous! Seeing the falls from behind was the highlight, it's a unique experience! You get super near the rushing water and can genuinely feel the current’s strength. There were even underground vibrations! It really made me realize how powerful nature can be. I'm glad I went because you see the waterfalls from a new perspective!

It was great seeing Niagara Falls from the other side! I had only ever seen photos from above. The view from the deck was amazing, too. Our group was small. There wasn't a crowd so you could see everything and take photos. Host was friendly. All in all, great experience!

Your Journey Behind the Falls doesn’t actually start with falls - it starts with tunnels! Descend 125 feet, and wander around the hallways carved into the bedrock. You’ll be deep underneath Horseshoe Falls, and will be able to hear the water’s thunderous roar - and feel vibrations throughout the earth! As you walk around, you’ll also spot informational posters teaching visitors about the tunnels’ evolution. Read them to learn about the tunnels’ 130-year history!
SEE THE HORSESHOE FALLS FROM BEHIND THE WATER
Next, ascend from the tunnels and walk out to the observation decks at the base of the falls. Here you’ll have a breathtaking view of the falls - a cascading waterfall crashing down in torrents, beautifully merging with the still lakes. Before you get close to the falls, we’ll provide you with a complimentary Niagara Parks poncho. That way, you can still stay dry while near the mighty falls, and truly enjoy their beauty.

- Journey Behind the Falls was first opened in 1832. Then, it was called the “Sheet of Falling Water” attraction.
- There are two tunnels in total, both extending approximately 46 meters (151 ft) behind the waterfall. The tunnels are roughly 2 meters (7 ft) tall and 2.4 meters (8 ft) wide.
- At the site of Journey Behind the Falls, the water travels 65 km/h, with over 2,800 cubic meters of water going over the brink every second.
